Welcome to the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI)
CPRI provides trauma-informed and highly specialized treatment and targeted intervention services for children and youth in Ontario with complex combinations of special needs. These needs include severe behavioural and emotional challenges, developmental disabilities, autism, and mental health.
CPRI also conducts applied research and develops evidence-informed education to build knowledge and capacity in the mental health and developmental services sectors. We work to provide accessible and inclusive services that are culturally sensitive and trauma informed.
Outpatient Services
CPRI provides a variety of highly specialized services to children and youth 0 – 18 years of age (and families) with complex mental health and developmental challenges. We provide outpatient services to clients who come for scheduled appointments here at CPRI. We also provide service to clients in their own community.
Inpatient Services
Inpatient services are short-term and goal specific, serving children and youth ages birth to 18 with complex mental health and developmental challenges. CPRI’s inpatient services provides interdisciplinary assessment and treatment based on the individualized needs and identified goals of children or youth with complex multiple needs.
Supporting Professionals
We run educational workshops throughout the year that are open to professionals. Our staff can provide presentations on various topics – more information is available in our CPRI Education Catalogue. For more information about education and training opportunities, see Education.
Referral
Doctors, parents, schools, social service agencies, and the child or youth can make a referral.
